The demand for niche perfumes is growing worldwide. Ukrainian perfume brands are also on trend, developing exquisite fragrances from natural ingredients. These range from classic floral and oriental compositions to unique scents inspired by native herbs and flowers from various regions of Ukraine. Yellow Blue journalist Sofiia Korotunenko has curated a selection of eight Ukrainian brands that produce long-lasting, original perfumes and don’t test on animals.
Bibliotheque de Parfum
About the brand. Bibliotheque de Parfum was founded in 2019 by Lora Nekrasova, an entrepreneur from Kharkiv. The brand’s philosophy focuses on scents that are memorable and inspiring. Three generations of Lora’s family work in the company, and they use only natural components in production.
At the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the brand suspended operations as employees evacuated from Kharkiv, which Russian troops were approaching at the time. Nekrasova relocated the business to Chernivtsi and entered the European market within a few months. In 2024, she opened a perfume boutique in Toronto. In Ukraine and abroad, Bibliotheque de Parfum stands out for its original packaging designed as books: each collection has its own unique cover.
What’s on offer. The brand produces over 50 various perfumes for women and men. To allow every customer to try different scents and find their own, Bibliotheque de Parfum developed numerous Discovery Sets — sets featuring various fragrances in 3-ml bottles. They range in price from $24 to $30.

Sister’s Aroma
About the brand. Sister’s Aroma was created in 2018 by two sisters, Dasha and Yulia Burkovsky. The brand’s philosophy is self-care, style, and supporting women within a sisterhood community. Sister’s Aroma uses eco-friendly and safe ingredients certified by the European companies Ecocert and Cosmos. The brand’s products are sold in more than 35 countries worldwide.
What’s on offer. Women’s perfumes, body and face care, hand and face creams, soaps and shower gels, aroma diffusers for home and car, and soy wax scented candles.

About the brand. This jewelry and perfume production was founded in 2021 by Anna Honcharova. The brand’s name symbolizes a journey through human existence. The first three perfume collections embody key elements of life’s journey: birth, growth, and harmony. When creating fragrances, perfumers draw inspiration from the nature of Ukraine and personal memories — for example, from childhood.
The brand’s main feature is the combination of jewelry with care products. For instance, brass or silver pendants can be unscrewed to reveal solid perfume inside. The chain length is adjustable, and the piece can be worn on the neck, wrist, or as a bag charm. A lip balm in a flat circular white metal container can also be worn as a medallion on the neck. The balm itself is multifunctional: it moisturizes lips and cuticles and shines on the face like a highlighter.
What’s on offer. Six perfume fragrances, shower gels, lotions, and lip balms. The jewelry line includes rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and pendants with solid perfumes, crafted from brass and silver with added cubic zirconia.

Vdyh
About the brand. A niche perfume brand founded in 2013 by Olena Shtefan. Translated from Ukrainian, Vdyh means “an intake of breath”. Each fragrance is unique, embodying individual human traits. For example, the unisex fragrance “Revival” (Vidrodzhennia) symbolizes resilience and the drive for constant self-improvement. The brand sells perfumery in volumes of 3, 8, or 50 milliliters.
What’s on offer. Women’s, men’s, and unisex perfumes—oriental, floral, and fruity combinations. All fragrances can be sampled by ordering a set of 17 testers for $38. Vdyh also produces scented body cream with linden and vetiver extract and soy candles.

HOCHOO
About the brand. HOCHOO (the name plays with the Ukrainian word “хочу”, “I want”) was founded by Nina Prudnyk in 2019. The brand’s story began with a hair care line developed by Ukrainian trichologists. Over time, the range expanded to include perfumes and natural cosmetics for the face, hair, and body. All packaging is eco-friendly and made from recycled materials.
HOCHOO solid and oil perfumes are multifunctional. They can be applied to the body as a fragrance, but also used to moisturize cuticles and hair ends. One of the brand’s signatures is hypoallergenic liquid patches for the skin under the eyes.
What’s on offer. Women’s, men’s, and unisex solid and oil perfumes, hair, body, and face care products, deodorants, creams, and serums. HOCHOO also offers charity boxes priced at $12, $23, $35, and $47 with a random set of products. Profits from the sale of these boxes are donated to buy medicine and tactical first-aid kits for the Ukrainian military.

Amazing Aroma
About the brand. It was founded in 2020 by the couple Alina and Yevgen Ilin in Kharkiv. Following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, perfume production was moved to Khmelnytskyi. In 2023, the company reached a new level, doubling its customer base and reaching the mark of 100,000 orders per year.
The perfume line covers 29 women’s, men’s, and unisex fragrances. These are highly concentrated formulas that last up to 24 hours on the body and up to 72 hours on clothing. A perfumer, available for messaging on the Amazing Aroma website, helps customers select their scent.
What’s on offer. Spicy, sweet, citrus, delicate, and fresh fragrance combinations. To choose the perfect perfume, you can create your own Discovery set of 6 or 9 testers (2 ml each), costing $11 and $16 respectively. Besides perfumes, Amazing Aroma sells restorative lip balm and lip glosses in three shades.

Korica
About the brand. Korica is a natural cosmetics brand founded in 2016 by Maryna Kapiton. Among the specialists who worked on the products are biochemists, trichologists, dermatologists, and cosmetologists. The production uses eco-friendly components tested on lab-grown cells and volunteers. They are also certified by international companies Ecocert and Cosmos, and the Ukrainian company Organic. Korica states its mission as to promote self-love and health care.
What’s on offer. A line of women’s perfumes with five fragrances dedicated to Ukrainian female scientists and writers. The brand also produces decorative and skin care cosmetics for the body, hair, and face, scented soaps, soy wax candles, and home aroma diffusers.

About the brand. Twins produces niche perfumes and skincare cosmetics with signature scents — ranging from light and fresh to rich and spicy. On the website, you can choose the fragrance of each product — whether it’s perfume, shower gel, or a scented candle — not only by the notes in the composition but also by association with the scents of famous perfume brands.
