Yellow Blue has compiled a selection of unusual souvenirs from Ukraine that are easy to carry abroad: they are lightweight, compact, and do not take up much space in your luggage. The list includes more than 75 brands that reinterpret Ukrainian heritage or tell the story of contemporary Ukraine through design, flavours, and scents. Among them are clothing for people and pets, traditional and contemporary jewellery, drip coffee, scented candles inspired by different regions of the country, savoury and sweet treats, and niche perfumes.
Traditional and contemporary clothing
Embroidered scarves and collars, pocket bags, and hair ribbons are colourful elements of traditional Ukrainian striy that take up very little space in a suitcase. Such items made from linen and cotton are produced by Etnodim, Malvy, and Prashatam. Their designs incorporate patterns from authentic Ukrainian garments preserved in museums.
Those who prefer clothing and accessories inspired by contemporary Ukraine can choose scarves by Softmaps, featuring miniature symbols of Ukrainian cities; Virmi, with watercolour illustrations of Lviv buildings; Indposhiv, with recognisable Kyiv landscapes; and Shpalta, with views of Ukraine.
The brand Dodo.socks embroiders phrases and illustrations on its socks that reflect contemporary Ukrainian life. These include collections dedicated to occupied cities: Melitopol Cherries, Luhansk Apricots, and Crimean Onions; socks inspired by Ukraine’s Akademik Vernadsky Antarctic research station; designs featuring lines from Ukrainian poets; and humorous sayings such as “Birds of a feather flock together.”
Lady Di atelier’s scarves and clothing are designed by people with disabilities, including those with Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, and visual or hearing impairments. They produce original illustrations or reinterpret famous artworks, such as Kateryna by Taras Shevchenko. Butterfly atelier employs women who have suffered from domestic violence, left their homes because of the war, or have disabilities. Some of their scarves are dedicated to Ukrainian cities, while others celebrate women’s strength.

The first category includes Malvy and VydymoNevydymo. Their designs incorporate patterns and decorative elements characteristic of different regions of Ukraine. Some pieces are reconstructions of traditional necklaces and earrings preserved in museums.
Jewellery workshops Korali, Oksana Boriychuk, Tsybulka, and Khrystyna Rachytska modernise authentic jewellery and create original designs. For example, the artisans of Tsybulka create sylianky with patterns inspired by the works of Kazimir Malevich and other Ukrainian avant-garde artists.

Jewellery with a “Ukrainian character”
Every year, Ukrainian jewellery brands release collections of gold, silver, and ceramic jewellery featuring Ukrainian symbols. In 2025, Tsvite Teren launched the Smalta collection: pendants made of coloured opaque glass set in silver and suspended from long chains. The collection is dedicated to Alla Horska, who used this type of glass in her mosaics. One of Tsvite Teren’s best-known collections is Myrni. At its heart is a ceramic bird symbolising Ukrainian resilience and the desire for freedom.
Gunia Project offers a wide range of symbolic collections made of gold, silver, and beads. These include trident-shaped and horse-shaped pendants, herdany, and the Malva collection (pendant, earrings, and rings) as well as the Pivnyk collection (pendant, earrings, and brooches). The latter was inspired by a ceramic rooster jug that miraculously survived in a building destroyed by a Russian missile strike in the Kyiv region in 2022.
The brand Grono offers a trident pendant and pin, the Swallows collection (earrings and pendant), and token-style pendants featuring impressions of mallow flowers, a crane, and a sunflower.
Dukachi offers statement pieces such as pendants shaped like motanka dolls and earrings modelled on the edelweiss flower, which grows in the Ukrainian Carpathians and symbolises love and courage. Ni Hrama Dramy creates miniature pendants and earrings shaped like a nightingale, ears of wheat from the Ukrainian steppes, and the sun as depicted in drawings by the Scythians, the nomadic tribes who once inhabited the territory of present-day Ukraine.
Olha Konoval, founder of the brand Staleva Sotnia and the wife of a fallen serviceman, creates rings and pendants from spent shell casings and bullets. The brand Spogad preserves memories of Ukraine in jewellery made from recycled plastic. It offers bracelets, ear cuffs, and hair accessories inspired by the works of Ivan Aivazovsky, as well as small bags dedicated to the Carpathian forest, Kherson watermelons, and the pink-red waters of Lemuria Lake in the Kherson region.

Men’s jewellery and accessories
Men’s jewellery featuring Ukrainian symbols is primarily created by veterans and active servicemen. The founders of Klamka are currently serving in the military, while the brand’s craftsmen produce rugged metal and paracord bracelets, keychains, and belts with brass, silver, and steel buckles. They imprint tridents, Slavic protective symbols, and traditional embroidered patterns on metal.
Veteran Oleksandr Savliuk handcrafts paracord bracelets and talismans under the brand Kozak Knot. He decorates them with metal beads featuring Cossack symbols, the trident, brigade insignia, or Slavic protective symbols. They can be customised by changing the cord colour and metal design elements.
Bat-Art is both a workshop and an art-therapy space where veterans and active servicemen work while on leave, undergoing treatment, or between deployments. They create jewellery from blue-and-yellow paracord as well as spent shell casings and bullets, engraved with the trident. All of these brands donate part of their profits to support the military.
The jewellery brand Dukachi offers a charitable Kozak collection consisting of unisex pendants and bracelets made of yellow and white gold and decorated with diamonds. Part of the proceeds supports demining equipment. The brand Oksana Boriychuk also offers an ethnic collection of men’s jewellery, including brass zgardy and bracelets featuring the national coat of arms and Slavic symbolism.

Drip coffee
The trend for drip coffee, an alternative method of brewing filter coffee, continues to grow in Ukraine. Ground coffee is placed into individual paper filters that attach to a cup, making it easy to prepare both at home and while travelling.
Ukraine’s largest drip-coffee producer is Idealist Coffee, a coffee shop chain that operates a full production cycle. The brand purchases specialty coffee beans, roasts them, packages them, and sells the finished product. Idealist Coffee was hit twice: in August and October 2025, Russian missiles damaged its production facilities. The company now operates from a new production site.
Idealist Coffee sells drip coffee individually and in gift sets containing seven to fifteen sachets. Some collections are dedicated to Ukraine. For example, each sachet in the Ukraine series features photographs of scenic landscapes, the Iron Route collection highlights routes operated by Ukrzaliznytsia, and the Okean Elzy collection features quotes from the band’s most famous songs.
Minelly is a veteran-owned brand specialising in flavoured drip coffee with notes of cherry, coconut, or chocolate. Part of its profits is donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Udarna Praktyka is a brand of strong drip coffee founded by a serviceman with the call sign “Space.” All profits support the needs of his military unit.
High-quality drip coffee is also produced by Kyiv-based brands MadHeads and Honey, the Dnipro coffee roastery DAM Coffee Roasters, Lviv Coffee Mining Manufacture, and Ukrainian-owned companies abroad, including Hutsul Coffee Factory in Canada and Leleka Coffee in the United States.

Their fragrances include maple syrup, baked apple, red wine, and memories of childhood in a Ukrainian village.
Valkovskyi Family Candle Workshop and Lviv Candle Manufacture carve protective symbols and embroidery-inspired patterns into wax. The brand Fire Rabbit, which grew from a charitable project supporting internally displaced people into a social business, produces brightly coloured candles.
Incense made from Ukrainian herbs, flowers, and trees can be found at Dukhmian. Chocolate create lactose-free craft chocolate with fruits, berries, and nuts; Healing Taste offers sweets made from ingredients that support digestion; and Smakuli produces probiotic, gluten-free cookies.
More traditional sweet treats, such as craft chocolate with a variety of fillings, are produced by No. Domu, Lviv Chocolate Workshop, Spell, Meetty, and Honey. The confectionery brand LOL&POP produces sweets without artificial colours or preservatives, including marshmallows, lollipops, and fruit jellies made from fruits and berries.
These sweets pair well with tea made from Ukrainian wild herbs. The brand Zhygun Herbs produces herbal teas intended for relaxation or digestive support. The veteran-owned business Travka combines several types of herbs and plants in each blend, all gathered in Polissia, a sparsely populated region in northern Ukraine with no industrial activity. One of its most unusual products is a certified organic tea containing red fly agaric. It is safe for consumption and contains no psychotropic substances.
