Tableware and Home Decor

YaKUSH

Про бренд.

About the brand: Founded in 2017 by Mariia Yakush, this glassware and decor studio was born from a desire for more variety than the generic sets found in city restaurants. The brand operates under the philosophy: “The details that bring joy.”

During the development of her debut line, YaKUSH spent time studying antique tableware in museums worldwide, experimenting with form and material. Today, most pieces are crafted from guta glass—a traditional hand-blowing technique that originated in Ukraine in the 15th century. Each item begins as molten glass blown through a tube, shaped by hand with wooden blocks and tongs, and then finished on an iron rod where it is stretched, bent, or cut. To champion sustainability, the brand often incorporates recycled glass shards into its production, giving them a second life.

Product range: The brand’s collection includes an array of glassware—from vases and chandeliers to plates and tumblers—defined by unconventional forms and rich, multicolored textures. Expanding its artistic reach, YaKUSH also features a ceramic series hand-painted with ancestral embroidery patterns and pagan symbols. Complementing these are home textiles, such as blankets and napkins, that draw deep inspiration from Ukraine’s landscapes and traditional motifs.
