Klavdievo Factory of Christmas Glass Decoration

About the manufacturer: Klavdievo is the largest manufacturer of handmade holiday ornaments in Eastern Europe. The factory is located in the Kyiv region and has been operating since 1948. Its ornaments are sold not only in Ukraine but are also exported to Europe and the US. The creation process is complex: masters first blow the glass ornaments, and then artists apply drawings using acrylic paints. If a drawing or ornament is highly detailed, an artist may work on it for an entire day. Before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the factory offered tours during the autumn and winter seasons, allowing everyone to see how the ornaments were created. In 2025, however, tours are only held at the Manor of Christmas Stories, where employees craft glass and straw Christmas stars and conduct master classes for visitors.

Its Christmas decorations: Classic-design toys—such as balls, fir tree figures, snow-covered houses, and festive characters—are priced from $3 to $34. Detailed hand-painted ornaments from the Christmas Stories collection cost between $16 and $38. These include complex-shaped figures with many colorful elements, such as elves, carriages, or birds, as well as balls featuring sophisticated designs like reproductions of paintings by Ukrainian writer and artist Taras Shevchenko.
