In global markets, Ukraine is sometimes associated with raw materials, but even during the full-scale war, Ukrainian businesses are creating modern products.

According to Diia.Business, in spring 2025 some sectors even increased exports: prepared food products, clothing, furniture, and Ukrainian goods overall were sold in 168 countries. Key markets include Poland, Germany, and Turkey.

Yellow Blue has put together nine Ukrainian brands with products that can be both something to buy for yourself and a gift for friends abroad — from care for afro hairstyles and dry cocktails to cheese snacks, children’s furniture, and reusable hygiene products.

Zillya

The brand offers a line of care products for people who wear afro hairstyles. It includes soothing sprays that relieve itching after braiding, solid shampoos that do not dry out the scalp and hair but cleanse thoroughly, restorative masks after unbraiding, and more.

The line was developed by Oksana Nesterenko, a specialist, who was the first in Ukraine to offer such products.

Zillya has also established small-scale production of personal care products — from natural creams and serums to toothpaste.

Zhaga

A brand of natural intimate care products. Former journalist Ilona Myronenko founded the business during her pregnancy when she couldn’t find an affordable lubricant with a safe formula. The first product was developed in collaboration with Nina Slepkova, founder of the brand Zillia Mavky. Zhaga focuses on glycerin-free formulas, formulated with pH in mind — making products both safe for female microbiota and attentive to the importance of women’s pleasure without stigma.

The brand offers 20 products, mostly standard and edible water-based gel lubricants.

Drink Master

PAPAdesign is a Ukrainian maker of gift products, founded in 2014 as the in-house brand of UAmaide. They offer the Drink Master line of dry cocktails, with 25 different blends of fruits, berries, spices, and extracts. Simply add alcohol, water, or juice and let it steep for one to two days to create a ready-to-drink cocktail, which can be served with ice or tonic if desired.

Where to buy:

snEco

The snEco brand (company Prime Snack) was founded by brothers Vadym and Philip Grishin after a trip to the U.S. in 2015, where they first tried dried cheese. At the time, this product didn’t exist in Ukraine, so they decided to create their own — and that’s how snEco came to life in 2016.

In the early days, it was almost a home experiment: the first batches were made with labels printed on a standard household printer. For production, they used a vacuum-drying technology developed by NASA, later improved to microwave-vacuum drying. It preserves the nutritional properties of the cheese and significantly extends its shelf life without special storage conditions.

Today, snEco produces over 12 tonnes of products per month. Its lineup includes more than 10 types of snacks — from options for a healthy lifestyle to popular cheeses like gouda and emmental.

Over time, the brand grew into an international business and now exports to Europe, the U.S., Japan, and the UAE. After the full-scale war began, production was relocated from Kharkiv to Mukachevo, and in 2025 a second facility was opened in Slovakia. In 2024, snEco won the Grand Prix at the SIAL Innovation Awards in Paris — one of the most prestigious awards in the foodtech sector.

Uf.Bee

Uf.Bee wax wraps are certified natural, eco-friendly food packaging from a Ukrainian producer that has been on the market since 2019. The wraps and cloths are reusable and help food stay fresh longer, thanks to the antibacterial properties of the wax and their ability to allow food to ‘breathe’. Wraps like these help cut down on disposable plastic wrap. For production, they use specially ordered cotton fabric, which is soaked in a wax solution.

Where to buy:

Ecotim for girls

A Ukrainian brand of reusable feminine hygiene products, founded in 2019. It began as an eco initiative and now focuses on women’s health, comfort, and breaking the taboos around menstruation.

The brand produces its own reusable pads and menstrual underwear, offering different levels of protection for various days of the cycle and ages. The products are certified, made from safe materials, and do not cause irritation.

The range includes menstrual underwear in different styles and absorbency levels, daily cloth pads, menstrual cups, as well as postpartum and urology lines. There is a separate series for teenagers.

The brand also supports women with disabilities and female military personnel.

Where to buy:

Malvy (Malvy.games)

Malvy are colourful board games for children aged three and up that help develop speech, memory, and imagination. Through play, children learn the alphabet in Ukrainian, English, and Polish, develop reading and counting skills, and even basic math. Everything happens easily and naturally, with children picking up elements of Ukrainian culture, so it doesn’t feel like learning.

For over 13 years, these games have been created by the small Lviv-based studio Malvy.games. It was founded by Olha Kaniuka, who develops the ideas, and designer Zoryana Symotyuk.

The range features around 15 games, including compact card sets that are easy to take anywhere and play on the go.

Where to buy:

DevoHome

DevoHome is a Ukrainian-Dutch family brand that creates natural hemp textiles. The team focuses on simple products that work for people and do not harm the planet. Their bedding is hypoallergenic and was originally created for a loved one, eventually growing into full-scale production.

Practical for everyday use, the products can be machine-washed and don’t require dry cleaning.

Today, DevoHome offers complete sleep sets made from hemp fiber, including mattress protectors, duvets, and pillowcases. The range also includes bedding, toppers, bedspreads, and throws in various sizes, as well as products for children, pets, kitchen textiles, and clothing.

Where to buy:

Stolarochka

Stolarochka is the family brand of Olena and Viacheslav Ahapov, offering children’s furniture based on their own designs with carefully considered service. The business has been operating since 2016, with the whole family involved. Olena is responsible for ideas and design, while Viacheslav manages production.

They began with tables with built-in lights and Lego tables for their son, which eventually grew into a full line of furniture for children of all ages.

Today, the range includes functional tables, beds, and complete “turnkey” sets. The furniture is thoughtfully designed, with reversible tabletops and storage compartments.

Customer service is a top priority. Clients are supported from the initial consultation through assembly, with spare hardware, tools, and video instructions provided. The team considers client preferences and offers ready-made solutions using selected materials.
